The school is run by the management team which consists of the 3 Phase Heads and the Business Manager, assisted by an active, passionate Board of Trustees. The Board of Trustees consists of 14 Trustees including 2 Phase Heads and 2 ex-Officio members. The Chairman of the Board, Vice-Chairman and Treasurer meet regularly with the Management Committee and termly Board meetings are held.

The successful candidate should be an individual with energy, integrity and vision; capable of nurturing and teaching children to fulfill their unique potential within an inspired educational environment.


  • Professional qualification,
  • Experience as a class teacher
  • SACE registration certificate, police clearance certificate in terms of the Sexual Offences Act.
  • Ability to teach English and Mathematics
  • Sound knowledge of current trends in education
  • Capacity to develop and sustain new teaching ideas
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team
  • Highly proficient IT skills
  • Good organisational and administrative skills
  • Proven ability to contribute effectively to the extramural programme
  • An ability to identify with the values and ethos of Thomas More College
