THE HEADMASTER…

There is a special spirit awaiting pupils at Thomas More. It is a spirit of belonging, of security, of humility, of love, and of happiness. It is a spirit of rising in the morning and wanting to go to school. It is a spirit of striving for personal enrichment and achievement, but also one of reaching out in assistance to others.

The school glories in collective image and pursuit, but relishes individuality, self-confidence and self-expression. Most Thomas More alumni are characterised by assertive oratory, lively debate, and a divergent turn of thought. The potential of each pupil is challenged at every turn, and a personal, and not group, yardstick measures achievement. Progress, diligence and strong moral fibre are revered as much as outstanding performance. All this is underpinned by a vibrant Christian ethos, with the teachings of Jesus Christ at the core.
