Dear Friend of Thomas More College,

Your child has successfully reached her/his final year at school and will soon be leaving the security that comes with a school such as ours. We wish her/him all of the best as she/he finds a new path in this world.

Thank you for your loyal support of Thomas More College over the years. Your sustained contribution to fundraising events and capital development has ensured a legacy remains in this establishment. We hope you will all continue to be proudly associated with us in the years to come.

The Capital Projects Fund is primarily intended for the advancement of the school. When we need to build projects such as the Astroturf and the School of Music this is the fund we look to.

The Thomas More Education Trust is a recent innovation to address the needs of historically disadvantaged children who do not have the means to attend a school such as ours. We believe that a child selected from such a background would have a tremendous opportunity if awarded a bursary to attend this fine educational establishment. This fund also assists the children of Thomas More College families who suddenly experience financial distress.

Your support of the Past Pupils Association will be used to build alumni relations and advocate the Thomas More College legacy. This is an essential component of our school to ensure we that our history and traditions are never forgotten.

Finally we would like to introduce to you the notion of bequests here at Thomas More College. We constantly face the challenge of maintaining and developing this fine institution which has risen from a small school to a popular and excellent educational establishment. The management team and staff strive to provide the best learning environment for all children and have to date been very successful. One of the key ingredients to maintaining long term success is financial security. Financial security has been integral to the school’s sustainability. The vigilant Board of Trustees and management team have nurtured this financial investment.

We would like you to consider a financial investment in the future of this school. Anyone older than 18 years should have a will as you well know. It’s an important way of ensuring that your loved ones are cared for when you are gone. In the same way a bequest is a gift given to a particular person or organization after your death.

We would like you to consider a bequest to Thomas More College. If you feel that this school has been instrumental in the development of your child or children please help us by leaving a bequest which will ensure that the legacy of Thomas More College lives on for your grandchildren and others to benefit from.

Bequests can take the form of a life insurance policy that is not needed, a residue of the Estate, property or specific items of value, a percentage of your estate or a set sum of money.

If you choose to be generous towards Thomas More College all you need do is refer to our legal name in your will or codicil which is: Thomas More College or The Thomas More Education Trust.

If you are adding to an existing will you would simply fill out a codicil with the assistance of a professional person and you would need two people as witnesses.

Your generosity will ensure that Thomas More College continues to be an excellent school that does the very best for each child who registers with us.
